"Children’s books are my haven. I work as a journalist, and thus, I often deal with very serious issues. I want to write stories with which children can identify. Fantasy, dreams, and curiosity to continuously deepen and grow wiser. My favourite book is The Happy Lion by Louise Fatio because it is a beautiful story. Like a painting with several layers. And then, it is just fun to say "Bonjour, happy lion". My role model is the Swedish character Alfons Åberg (Alfie Atkins) and his dialogues with his dad, and several of my own stories are inspired by the Alfie universe as well. "I love everyday life”, like a famous Danish writer named Dan Turéll used to say. I love everyday life, too. The daily life situations – with a sense of humour and a twinkle in my eye."
